Not very appetizing. I'm pretty sure there is nothing hand made from scratch. Very disappointed given the location, I would have expected better.
Stopped by with a friend before attending the Ballet at Symphony Hall. There was a line and it appeared the wait was going to be long. The staff worked with the patrons quite efficiently and helpfully to move things along. I was impressed with their willingness to go out of their way in attempting to accommodate us. The food was decent also...as expected. I begin with three stars for meeting my expectations and move up or down from there. Four stars for the helpfulness of the staff.
Still one of my top picks when it comes to service. Food. And all around good atmosphere. I hope they still use shamrock foods
One of my favorite places to eat during Phoenix Fan Fusion (Comic Con)
Food was decent, large selection of items on the menu. Nice patio atmosphere, friendly staff. Was not that busy 6pm and the service was pretty slow. That is main reason I am marking down a star.
We stopped here for breakfast. Great food and service.
My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch while we were in town. We both ordered salads (which were great) and decided to try their won ton chips and salsa - so good!!
The absolute worst food, worst service. I almost felt like standing outside just to warn people before they went in. Terrible!!!!***the following day we returned to meet the owner who apologized for all the trouble and ensure me that changes would be made.
Located next door to Hyatt, hearty and tasty breakfasts for a reasonable price. This is grilled potatoes with corned beef and onions and two eggs easy over. Very good! Serve drinks in those quart sized glasses... my favorite. Service was excellent.
Another downtown gem, perfect for a quick meal and drinks before or after a show.Stumbled across Steve's after attending a fantastic performance of Cabaret. The missus and I were starving, and the New York Strip sandwich called out to me upon the first glance at the menu, and it did not disappoint, though I wish that I had thought to ask for horseradish or similar to jazz it up a touch.Missus had the kid's burger and enjoyed it as much as I did the steak sandwich, though at slower pace and in a more civilized manner.Treat yourself to the tater tots as a sideHighly recommend for a quick bite downtown, especially for folks on a budget.I was stunned that our bill was around $35 for the two of us, though we had no bar tab.
Never got our ice water, but not that big of a deal. Burger was drastically under cooked and had to send it back. The replacement burger was barely cooked enough. I ordered the first one medium well and the second one well done, but came actually raw. The waitress did the best she could to make things right. I would go back, but only after I tried several other places first.
Mainly uninspired but acceptable restaurant fare. Diverse menu. Very close and convenient to the Phoenix Convention Center. It's been there for years and dependable when I'm not in the mood to walk more than a block from or pay the prices of the Hyatt or Renaissance.
Love this place!! Great food and service!! Wonderful patio to relax on for a nice afternoon!!
Weird place, the decor is a lol outdated. Bartender had no clue what whiskey was. But cheap drinks and okay good.
Typical sports bar vibe, despite the name. They don't care that much about the food anymore. It's not bad at all, but it's not much better than adequate. Service was also ... well, okay. Adequate. Great location, though!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT... THE COOK IS AWESOME...FOOD IS DELICIOUS! I'LL BE POSTING PICTURES NEXT OF OUR MEALS! THANK U!
This place was recommended my a coworker. The food is good, reasonably priced, and delicious. The waiter was also excellent. I would go back here again for sure.
The service was fast and courteous, and the food came out much faster than I expected. All the ingredients tasted super fresh and the burger was cooked perfectly (medium rare). The calamari was made differently than I expected, but it was quite a pleasant surprise. Alcohol is priced similarly to the rest of the downtown area, but the food is probably some of the most affordable around. It's also open later than most so be sure to give it a try sometime!
The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately the tables were extremely sticky and the food took a long time to arrive. When it did, half of it was cold. They were pretty busy that day, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and going 3/5 stars.
The waitress was quite abrupt. She was very sweet and helpful to the people I was with but quite short with me whenever I asked her a question. Upon entering the restaurant their were several tables/booths covered in dishes. So sitting in a booth wasn't an option. The menu was different. They don't offer non pork options for breakfast meat. I ordered the pancakes and eggs. It was okay. Nothing I couldn't have gotten elsewhere. I would not visit here again because of the waitress. Too many places to spend money at and not feel like I'm ruining someones day by asking about their food.
TERRIBLE service. We waited over an hour and never got food. We had to write down our own order and still never got it. For this place being downtown NEXT TO A CONVENTION CENTER, you would think they would be prepared. They all look confused and we, like many others, had to get up and walk away. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
This place has good food for a good price. Tuesday's they have a 2 tacos for $2 deal, with a taco bar. It's super mellow; outdoor seating with misters if you want to sit outside in summer (not sure why someone would torture themselves like that, but hey, to each their own). Overall, great place to grab a quick lunch.
Had the party melt. Burger was cooked to perfection and the tator tots were nice and crispy. I placed my order to go so my service right away was a little slow.
This is the place to go for casual dining before the show. The food is good and the service fast and friendly.
Great happy hour with good drinks and a nice place for people to dine to bad it's going away for political reason of the city
We had dinner here on the way to a play at the Herberger Theater. The menu is extensive, the prices are reasonable and the food is good.
Great food good prices on drinks and ornery but fun.
Ive had great breakfast, great sandwiches n burgers & the pork chops! Oh my! Their potatoes are really good
We're looking for a place to stop by on our way to the theater and was really surprised at this place. It was a very nice evening so we sat outside extremely comfortable seating food is good basic sandwiches and burgers. Extremely attentive service really make sure you were taken care of. Good spot if you're downtown and looking for good meal and service
I went with friends to Steve's Greenhouse grill. I had the appetizer sample plate and that alone was enough for two or three people. Wings, potato skins, chips, onion rings, calamari. I also had a drink. They have drink specials that I had to try. They have a "Red Blooded Mule". I tried it, and I liked it. They also validate parking in the structure above. Half price which isn't too bad. They have indoor and out door seating.
Had a fast, delicious, tasty meal here. Located on the south side of monroe St. Between 2nd and 3rd St. It is a cozy bar and grill with excellent seating (I love.booths) and down to earth severs who will help you navigate your taste buds preferences. The omelet was fresh and emourmus. I had fresh banannas and delectable brown sugar with my oatmeal. Start the day right with this breakfast for under 20 bucks!! This would easily feed two people..... check er' out fer shore😊😊
As I joined my coworkers I noticed the Food looked decent. thankfully I ate elsewhere beforehand. What just absolutely killed it for me was the slow service and lack of prioritizing serving over bussing tables when the whole place was already empty.
Great wings and burgers. Nice little local place in downtown Phoenix.
Amazing breakfast, great service and very reasonably priced. Especially compared to the mediocre and expensive breakfast at Hyatt, Westin or Grand Sheraton. It’s a quick walk from the Grand Sheraton where I was staying and I ordered the fruit plate (which was very large) and filled with fresh fruits. The Mexican Omelette was excellent and the side of potatoes and toast was a perfect breakfast.
Service is slow even when not busy but the price is good and the food is ok...
Excellent food, good value on drinks, nice rustic small town vibe in a big city...genuine service.... want a jean and t-shirt feel kinda night...but dressed up still works here...stop in
The margaritas, Cesar Salad, salmon with vegetables were delisious. But my guest's carne asada tacos were lacking flavor.
Quick service, friendly staff, and tasty food!!!
Well you're greeted upon entry which is nice, however one thing I noticed the menu stated all day breakfast however from the time we arrived (1125am) we were told they are doing lunch only. Secondly the server wasn't knowledgeable about the types of fish or tuna. Thirdly they have a Street Taco all day deal where you dress the tacos your self at a bar. They had no utensils to grab the dressing and it's not a lot to choose from, your choices were salsa and cabbage. The tacos were decent and my fiancé stated his Burger was good. Overall not bad for the price.
Great burgers, I had coleslaw with mine and it was delicious. Wait staff was top notch. My water was refilled as soon as I was to half a glass and they were busy. All American food with good variety on the menu. I saw many items being served and everyone liked their meals. I will go again.
Sports bar atmosphere with a big patio! Service was great, sampler platter was yummy!
Really trendy yet comfortable place to eat a meal. We've eaten lunch & dinner here and the food was great both times! Last visit I had the buffalo burger with cheese, fries & a side garden salad with blue cheese. Everything was yummy. This is the perfect unpretentious place to have a relaxing bite to eat in the downtown area 😉.
I have never been disappointed at Steve’s. Great place to meet clients or friends. Vinny, bartender extraordinar is a Bloody Mary master trained by Angels. If you don’t believe me stop by and see for yourself!
My friend and I were looking for a place to eat and catch up after many years and miles apart. We heard the guitar player out front and decided to take a chance. We were not disappointed. My friend ordered a tequila on the rocks and I had an Eddy sweet tea vodka drink. Both were refreshing and tasted great. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and our dinners were excellent. I had the crab cakes and veggie bruschetta- both cooked perfectly and were delicious!! I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Phoenix!
Closest thing to a neighborhood bar / restaurant in downtown Phoenix. Quality food at reasonable prices and really good drink specials. It's my go-to for event pregame downtown.
Love Steve's. This is one of me and my significant others go to spot when we are downtown. Great service and prices to match.
At Steve's Greenhouse Grill the patio in front of the place is what really makes it special. I can't remember what I got here it was so long ago but I remember the service was great and they even had someone playing live music. This place is located right in the heart of downtown Phoenix.
Mediocre at best. barely worth the time to review except to save others from our fate. food was disappointing and skimpy, service was terrible (i guess i didn't really want that beer or side salad or the order i'd actually asked for?!), and the atmosphere was more like a dingy subway in Manhattan than a restaurant. we were seated in some back table with a delightful view of all the old chairs and tables or something similar, the misters were turned up so high outside that it was almost a slipping hazard getting into the place. would not recommend, go to Majerle's down the block - much better!
